Halloween 2012

Good times.. The boys wanted to be Ninjas (specifically Ninjago.. if you are part of the Lego world as we are at our house).  Kyle chose Buzz Lightyear, which was great since we already had that costume. I was pleased with my limited sewing abilities that I crafted Jane's Jessie costume myself.  We had fun.. and I'm glad that its over for another year.  Also glad to say goodbye to the Halloween candy that I've been snacking on for the last 5 days.

Baby Jane

We are loving this baby girl. I am looking forward to the routine that will come in a week when the 2 older boys go back to school.. I keep telling myself I will then catch up on laundry and be a better mother of 4 kids age 6 and under.. For now, I spend as much time as possible staring at this baby. Love her. photos by my sister-in-law Sarah Dickson (thank you!)

2 Years of Po

Our little Kyle (aka Po) turned 2 last week. He gets more charming every day if you ask me. We've come a long way...

More School, etc.

I need to post Neil's 1st day of preschool before he starts kindergarten... He was a little nervous, but has enjoyed his preschool so far. After his 1st day of school, I asked him if he wanted to go ride bikes. He said, "No, I want to jump in a pile of leaves." Apparently since school has started, it must be fall & time for jumping in leaves.. That will come soon enough!

A couple of other random things that I won't get around to if I don't post now:

Hike to Cecret Lake up Little Cottonwood Canyon on Labor Day with cousins.. beautiful & fun day despite the crowds.

Josh's Incredible Edible Insect Project

Each of the kindergartners at Josh's school are to make an edible insect for the "Bug Show". We came up with a "campfire fly". It was fun to put together & fun to go see all the other creations. I am already brainstorming for next year when we will get to make another one with Neil.

1st Day of School

Finally, the day has arrived-- Josh has been SO excited to start Kindergarten. I thought I would be more emotional, but he was so excited that it just made me excited for him. We got up early and made french toast by Josh's request & he was ready to go. When we got to the school, he quickly found some buddies and joined in a huge game of tag. I hope he's this excited for school every year.
